MAX HOWARD RATLIFF, 53, died Nov. of 1961 in
Artesia, NM, with burial there in the Woodbine
Cemetery. He was born Jan. 3, 1908 in Texas to
Claburn and Clementine Davenport Ratliff. He
attended Ranger High School in the Class of 1926/
1927 & served in the U.S. Army Corps as a Warrant
Officer. He worked in the oil supply business. His
sister was Charlotte Ratliff (RHS-1926, teacher at
Young School).
