JOHN WILBURN "J.W." TURNER, 83, passed away on
Nov. 25, 1988, with burial in the Eastland City
Cemetery at Eastland, TX. He was born on Aug. 6,
1905 to John W. and Mary Hooper Turner. J.W.
attended Eastland High School & then to Ranger
High School in the Class of 1927 at Ranger. He
completed four years of college and became a
teacher. He married Mildred Turner who died in
1996. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps the
day after the bombing of Pearl Harbor in 1941.
He had a number of siblings.
