BAILEY ALBERT ANDERSON, 89, of Big Spring, TX died on
Oct. 13, 2004, in Odessa. His body was donated to Texas
Tech Medical School, with cremation following.
He was born May 13, 1915, in Strawn, TX to Victor Anderson
and Anne Barton Anderson. He grew up in Ranger, TX graduating
there in 1932. Bailey also attended Ranger Junior College
for two years. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II
in the Atlantic.
He worked as an accountant for Atlantic Richfield in Dallas,
Corpus Christi, Midland and Odessa. He later was a salesman
for a number of years in San Angelo, retiring in 1980.
He married Violet Yeager of Arkansas Pass in 1942, and they
enjoyed 44 wonderful years together. She preceded him in
death March 7, 1986. He was a member of the First Presbyterian
Church of Big Spring, Tall Talkers Toast Masters, the YMCA
and the Howard County Republican Party.
Bailey is survived by three sons, Neil Anderson and his wife,
Ticia, of Big Spring, Douglas Anderson and his wife, Robin,
of Austin and Donald Anderson and his wife, Pat, of Odessa;
five grandchildren, Stephanie Murphy of Garden City, Jacob
Neil Anderson, Daniel Stephen Anderson and Sarah Marie
Anderson, all of Big Spring, and Ryan Keith Anderson of
San Angelo; and three great-grandchildren, Christopher,
Rachel and Hanna Murphy, all of Garden City.
