EVA MILLS, 91, passed away June 11, 2006, with
burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger, TX.
Eva was born on Aug. 7, 1914 in Ranger, TX, to E.
Preston and Mary Langford Mills. She was a graduate
of Ranger High School and was a charter member of the
Ranger chapter Gamma Beta Phi of the greater chapter
of Beta Sigma Phi. She was also an active member of
the First United Methodist Church.
She worked for her dad at E.P. Mills Grocery Store
as a bookkeeper and CD Hartnett Company wholesale
grocer. In April 1963, she went to work for Olney
Savings and retired in Sept. of 1979. She enjoyed
knitting and cooking.
Survivors include a sister, Norma Mills (RHS-1938)
of Ranger, a brother, Archie Mills (RHS-1927) of
Oakhurst, CA, two nephews, Terry R. Mills of Oxnard,
CA, and James P. Mills of Napa Valley, CA, one niece,
Martha Claudius of Fort Worth, two great nephews and
one great-niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother,
Elvis Mills (RHS-1933) and a twin sister, Iva Mills.
