LOWELL ARTHUR RAPP, 84, an area resident of
White Settlement since 1947, died Sept. 20, 1999 in
Fort Worth, TX, with burial at the Eastland City
Cemetery in Eastland, TX.
Mr. Rapp was born June 16, 1915 in Tunnelton, PA. He
came with his family to Ranger, TX in 1920. He attended
Ranger High School in the Class of 1934 at Ranger, TX.
He was a jig builder in the aircraft industry, retiring
from General Dynamics & Vaught. He was a 50 year member
of the Ranger Masonic Lodge, a charter member of the
Fort Worth Scottish Rite and a member of Moslah Temple
Shrine. He and his wife, Wanda Castleberry (RHS-1936)
celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 1999.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John & Annie
Shawfield Rapp, three brothers and one sister.
Survivors at the time of his death are his wife Wanda
of White Settlement; four children, Lowell “Eddie” Rapp
and his wife Sandra of Sedalia, CO, Donna Terhune and
her husband, Richard of Dallas, Cheryl Russell and her
husband, Lee, of Fort Worth and Ronald H. Rapp of
Littleton, CO.; ten grandchildren and two great-grand-
children. His three brothers were Herbert Rapp (RHS-
1930), Elvon Rapp (RHS-1933), and Jack Rapp (RHS-1938).
His sister was Gladys Rapp Wallis (RHS-1929).
