FRANK C. "F.C." WILLIAMSON, 86, died on June 26,
2005 at Carlsbad, NM, with interment at Sunset
Gardens Memorial Park.
Frank C. Williamson Jr., always known as “F.C.”,
was born July 12, 1918, in Eastland County, TX,
to Frank C. & Edna Earle White Williamson Sr. He
attended Ranger High School in the Class of 1935
at Ranger, TX and married Tommie Milliken in 1960
in Carlsbad. F.C. managed Carlsbad Car Parts from
1947-1956 at which time he purchased the business.
He then owned & operated it until his retirement
in 1989 at which time he closed the business. He
was the president & state expansion director of
20-30 Club in 1948-49. He joined the Carlsbad
Rotarian Club in 1952 & was an active member until
his death. He was a past-president in 1958-59 &
district governor for District 552 in 1976-77.
F.C. was Carlsbad Cavern District Boy Scout
commissioner during 1955. He was also an active
member of the Kiwanis Club being past president
and past district governor.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first
wife, Gracy Reeves Williamson; and one grandson,
Mike Trembly.
At the time of his death, F.C. was survived by his
wife Tommie of 45 years; two sons, Don Mack Mathis
and wife Lois and Tom Mathis & wife Dianne; brother,
Terrell W. Williamson (RHS-1936) of Abilene, TX;
six grandchildren, Don Lynn Mathis and wife Tammy,
Terry Mathis and wife Teresa, Deanne Najar & husband
Randy, Kim Cavender and husband Brett, Shelley Lucero,
and Tim Trembly; 17 great-grandchildren, Steven Mathis,
Mandy Mathis, Wendy Ballard, Trevor Mathis, Kelvy Mathis,
Christopher Najar, Tommy Najar, Dustin Najar, William
Mathis, Matthew Mathis, Sarah Wilson, Chaz Wilson,
Travis Trembly, Levi Trembly, Mackenzie Trembly,
Kimberly Cavender and Christian Cavender; one great-
great-grandchild, Jeffry Mack Mathis; and one nephew,
Eddie Williamson of Abilene, TX.
