Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1936
RAY SPIESS , 67, was born Nov. 16, 1918 in Oklahoma
to Martin L. & Bessie Spiess. He attended Ranger
High School in the Class of 1936 at Ranger, TX &
was on the football Championship team of 1934
(No. 26, Linebacker).  He played in the first Sun
Bowl game in El Paso, TX in 1935 and attended the
50th Anniversary Sun Bowl Reunion in 1985. He was
a veteran and died on Sept. 1, 1986.  His sisters 
were Louise Spiess Riddle (RHS-1940) & Marie Spiess
Frick (RHS-1940).
