FAUSTINE ELIZABETH WHITEHEAD BARGSLEY, 92, of
Crane, TX passed away on Sep. 30, 2012.
Faustine was born on Jan. 29, 1920 in Corsicana, TX.
She attended Ranger High School in the Class of 1937
at Ranger, TX. Faustine married Madison Frank "M.F."
Bargsley Sr. in 1938 at Ranger. She was a homemaker;
however she worked briefly for the Mary Miller Nursing
Home in Crane in 1972. She was a longtime resident
of Crane, living there since 1948. She was a member
of the Tabernacle Baptist Church. She enjoyed many
hobbies such as oil & watercolor paintings, doll
collecting and doll making, making handmade quilts,
crocheting, writing poetry, & gardening.
Faustine was preceded in death by her husband, Madison
Frank Bargsley, Sr. in 1972; her son-in-law, Gene R.
Osborn in 1998; a great-granddaughter, Jessica Hurst
in 2005; a son, Madison Frank "Butch" Bargsley Jr.
in 2003; and a daughter, Cora Ann Osborn in 2007;
as well as two brothers, G.E. Whitehead, Jr. and
Robert A. Whitehead (RHS-1948).
At the time of her death, she was survived by her
daughter, Sibyl Tarpley and her husband Lenwood of
Crane; her son, Kim Douglas Bargsley of Reklaw, TX;
12 grandchildren; & numerous great and great-great-
grandchildren. Faustine is also survived by a
brother-in-law, Coy Bargsley and his wife Fay
Crabtree Bargsley (RHS-1942) of Eastland; and a
sister-in-law, Ruby Lee Leonard and her husband,
Gill of Abilene, TX.
