CLARIBEL COFFMAN PEACHER, 90, a resident of
Garland, TX, since June of 2006 & prior resident
of Carmichael, CA to her heavenly home on Feb. 19,
2011 after a lengthy illness. Interment was at
Bullock Cemetery near Ranger, TX.
Claribel was born Sept. 7, 1920, to David H. & Ida
Jane Coffman in the Bullock community of Ranger,
TX. She was a graduate of Ranger High School in the
Class of 1938 & Parkland Nursing School in Dallas.
Claribel was an Army nurse and married Paul Edward
Peacher in Jan. of 1942 while stationed at Camp
Wolters, TX. As a military spouse, she lived in TX,
CA, New York, Delaware, and three years in Japan.
She loved to travel, toured the Holy Lands, visited
Europe, China, Alaska as well as cruise the Panama
Canal. Claribel was an artist and studio button maker,
a member of the Sacramento Button Club and National
Button Society. A strong Christian woman of faith
and prayer, she was a former member of Cypress Avenue
Baptist Church of Carmichael, CA and Gatewood Baptist
Church of Garland, TX.
Claribel is survived by her son, David Paul Peacher
Talleagle (Eliza Beth Gabriela) of Romania, Europe;
daughter, Paulette Ann Lathan of Garland, TX; grand-
children, Matthew Peacher, Jeffrey Wolff and Mark
Lathan; great-grandchildren, Liana, Kaine Reginald,
and Kaoni, Knedra, Josh, Radford and Reid. She is
survived by Joann McCarthy and Irina Nizova, Madeline
English, George and Barbara Peacher and many nieces
and nephews. Claribel is predeceased by her parents,
David H. and Ida Jane Coffman; brothers, Harvey, Elmer
and Terrell Coffman; and husband of 49 years, Paul
Edward Peacher (1991).
