BUEFORD LEE JORDAN, 91, passed away on
March 7, 2012 in Dallas, TX, with burial at
Eastland City Cemetery in Eastland, TX.
Bueford was born on Jan. 9, 1921 in Ranger, TX,
to Clay & Nellie Kennedy Jordan. He graduated
from Ranger High School in Class of 1939 & then
worked as a night clerk and auditor in a Ranger
hotel. It was through this job that he met his
future wife May Dell who was a switchboard operator
for Southwestern Bell. After three years of marriage,
Bueford was drafted and he joined the United States
Coast Guard and was assigned to the Coast Guard
Cutter, Talapoosa. After he was discharged from
the Coast Guard, Bueford worked for Lone Star Gas
Company & worked for them for many years until his
retirement. He was a member of First Christian Church
and enjoyed watching TV, football and other sports
and reading the newspaper.
Bueford was preceded in death by his wife May Dell.
He is survived by his daughter Jane McAllister of
Mesquite; two grandchildren, Kim Sullivan and Dana
Hartless both of Mesquite; his brother Rueben Jordan
(RHS-1943); his sister Elsie Donahue and three great-
grandchildren, Sarah and Cole Sullivan and Jordan
Marshall.
