EVELYN CECELIA FISHER HAMMOND, 83, of Lake
Brownwood, TX, formerly of Desdemona, TX passed
away on April 12, 2004, with interment at the
Howard Cemetery in Desdemona.
She was born on Sept. 18, 1920, in Ranger, TX the
daughter of the late Matt Fisher & Mary Ellen Woods
Fisher. She attended Ranger High School in the
Class of 1939 and married L.P. Hammond in April of
1941, in Cisco. She had resided in Desdemona until
moving to Lake Brownwood in 1993. She was a homemaker
and a member of the First Baptist Church of Lake
Brownwood.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L.P. Hammond
in 1998; one son, Wesley Dean Hammond; two brothers,
T.C. Fisher and Frank Fisher; & two sisters, Katherine
Veal and Eddie Wilson.
Survivors at the time of her death include her son,
Gerald P. Hammond and wife Clara of Lake Brownwood;
three granddaughters, Tamara Ballmann, Angela Sanders
& Julie O'Bannon; two step-grandchildren, Nina Gayoso
and Denise Bauer; & 14 great-grandchildren.
