MARTHA FRANCINE HATLEY MCCAULEY, 78, was born
Sept. 6, 1924, in Mount Pleasant, TX and passed
away peacefully at home in Tyler on Feb. 16, 2003.
Burial was in Mixon Cemetery at Mixon.
She was the daughter of P.O. Hatley Sr. & Youree
Cereta Long Hatley, both deceased. P.O. Hatley, Sr.,
was the principal at Hodges Oak Park School in the
mid 1930's and was the Ranger High School principal
in 1941 at Ranger, TX. Martha attended RHS in the
Class of 1940.
Mrs. McCauley is survived by two sons, Dwight William
McCauley and his wife Kimberly Lynn McCauley of Allen;
Kevin Robert McCauley of Tyler; one daughter, Kristen
Kay Jones and her husband Robert Kevin Jones of Rowlett;
her brother, P.O. Hatley Jr. and his wife Mary Faith
Hatley of Longview; her sister, Laura Jane Rogers and
her husband Tom Ralph Rogers of Georgetown; her grandson,
William David McCauley and his wife Releah Constance
McCauley of Allen.
Francine graduated from Texas Woman's University with a
degree in Education. She worked for the City of Tyler
Parks and Recreation Department and went on to travel
abroad, teaching dependent children of American employees
of ARAMCO in both Venezuela and Saudi Arabia. She was a
fifth generation Texan, listed in First Families of Texas
and a lifetime member of the Van Zandt County Genealogical
Society.
