Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1940

Doris Dudley Thomas DORIS DUDLEY THOMAS passed away peacefully at the age of 100 on July 19, 2024. Beloved wife of the late R.B. Thomas Jr. (RHS-1940) and mother of Beverly Jane Sutton (John), Randal B. Thomas III (Louise), Rebecca Sue Kellerman (Greg). Doris was proud grandmother to John Sutton (Amy), Susan Sutton Cox (Marcus), Neal Sutton ( Cindy), Thomas Sutton (decd), Burton Thomas (Katja), Kathryn Thomas (Haibo), Gregory Kellerman (Corey) & Sarah Kellerman (Patrick). Also 13 great-grand- children and 1 great-great grandchild. Doris was sister of Beverly Dudley (RHS-1937/Faculty) and aunt to Teresa Dudley, Jackie McCormick, Sara McBee, and Patricia Hooper. Doris had a deep love for her family who affectionately knew her as "Grammy". Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her loved ones. Doris & R.B enjoyed 73 years of loving marriage before R.B's passing in 2015. Together they led a faithful life. They were dedicated to one another and to their church family at Webster Hills United Methodist Church in Webster Groves, MO. She attended Ranger High School in the Class of 1940 at Ranger, TX. Doris' brother made friends with R.B. at Texas A&M and introduced them. Doris & R.B. were married in Aug. of 1942. They lived in Texas and Missouri their whole lives. Doris' interests included bridge, volunteering, and 50+ years of membership in PEO.
