LEROY JACOBY, 61, died on Dec. 23, 1982. He was
born in Mason, TX on Nov. 8, 1921 to Walter &
Nannie Jacoby. Leroy attended Ranger High School
in the Class of 1941 in Ranger, TX. He married Sue
Gorden at Breckenridge and they had three children:
Ronald, Walter Ray Jacoby (RHS-1966), & Ricky Jacoby.
Two of his brothers were Otis Ray Jacoby (RHS-1956)
& Harold Jacoby (RHS-1947).
SISTER: BETTY JO JACOBY CANNON was born to Walter
& Nanny Hubbard Jacoby on Aug. 24, 1934 at Ranger,
TX. She departed this life at the age of 86 on
Feb. 4, 2021 at Norman, OK.
In Feb. of 1950 she & George E Cannon were united
in marriage at Hot Springs, AR. They made their
home in Tipton, OK. until they moved to Noble in
1965. Mr. Cannon preceded her in death in 2007.
Betty was an avid bowler. One season she bowled
on 4 different leagues at the same time. Fishing
was one of her other hobbies that she absolutely
loved. In the mean time she collected salt and
pepper shakers. At last count she had collected
over 4000 shakers and then came the hummingbird
collection. She had every one that United Design
ever made and then some.
She was preceded in death by her husband George
E. Cannon and her great-grandson Christian Dunn.
Those who survive her include her sons George M.
Cannon and Floyd Cannon and wife Diane both of
Noble, daughters; Margaret Bryant and husband
Fred of Chickasha, Carolyn Riddle & husband Dan
of Lexington, grandchildren; Michelle Bryant,
Christina Richardson, Glen Riddle, Jennifer
Cannon, Crystal Cannon & Travis Cannon, great-
grandchildren; Collin Kessler, Caden Bryant,
Bryce Riddle, Paige Riddle, Kacen Richardson
and Patrick Richardson.
