CLAUDE E. "JACK" WHEELER, 90, passed away
on April 30, 2013, at Temple, TX, with burial in
North Belton Cemetery at Belton, TX.
Jack was born on Jan. 26, 1923 in Ranger, TX, to
the late Tony & Mattie Sharp Wheeler. He attended
Ranger High School in the Class of 1941 at Ranger,
TX. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Jack
married Betty Jo Ward in 1947, at Hobbs, N.M. He
worked as a machinist for Continental Belton for
more than 30 years. Jack was a member of Canyon
Creek Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 2007. His
brothers were Clyde Wheeler, Jimmy Wheeler (RHS-1954),
Robert Wheeler, Charles Wheeler, & Allen Wheeler;
and a sister Doris Wheeler Bradford.
Survivors include sons, Larry Wheeler & Bill Wheeler,
both of Belton; daughter, Pam Gulley, of Belton;
sisters, Helen Wheeler Serrett (RHS-1949), of Archer
City, and Wanda Wheeler Cox, of Eastland; eight
grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
