BUFORD N. BRYAN, 68, son of Mr. & Mrs. L.N. Bryan,
was born Dec. 23, 1923 and died July 18, 1992
in Kentucky. He entered the Navy in 1943 & went
through training at San Diego, CA. He saw service
aboard a merchant ship and action in the Pacific
theater of operations. A graduate of Ranger High
School in 1942 at Ranger, TX, R/M 2nd Class Bryan
was employed by the Philadelphia Shipyards in
Beaumont, TX, before entering the Navy. He was
married to Twyla Wynn who also attended Ranger High
School. His brother, Herman Bryan (RHS-1939) also
served in the Navy during WWII and his brother Ramon
Bryan (RHS-1942) served in the Army Air Corps and
brother Euall Bryan (RHS-1934) served in the Army.
A sister, Vera Bryan Bell, was in the RHS Class of
1936.
