PALMER KELLEY, 81, died on Aug. 14, 2006,
with burial at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City.
He was born December 2, 1924, at Ranger, TX, the
son of James C. and Jessie L. Sutton Kelley. In
August of 1944, he married Leola Turner (RHS-1944)
at Ranger. She survives.
He was born and raised in Ranger, where he was a
graduate of Ranger High School in 1942 and later
attended Ranger Jr. College.
He served in the United States Navy during World
War II. In June of 1950, he and his wife moved to
Dodge City, where they have resided since. He was
an owner and distributor for Steffens Dairy, where
he delivered milk to homes in Dodge City. He was
a member of the First Baptist Church of Dodge City.
Other survivors include one son, Barry Kelley and
wife Joan, Harrisonburg, VA.; two daughters, Susan
Clarke and husband, Robert, Glen Haven, CO., and
Donna Manis and husband, Rodney, Blackhawk, CO.;
six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son,
Tracy Kelley.
