TERRELL EUGENE HARBIN, 84, of Tyler, TX died June 15,
2010, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. He attended
Ranger High School in the Class of 1943 at Ranger, TX.
Terrell was born Aug. 24, 1925 in Eastland County,
TX, to the late Tillman & Mae Harbin. He was a
member of Green Acres Baptist church. He retired from
Texaco after 32 years. Terrell held various positions
with Texaco in Texas and South Louisiana and retired
from Texaco as Division Materials Manager. He serviced
in the South Pacific while on duty in the Navy during
WWII. He received his bachelor’s degree from Baylor
University. He was preceded in death by a brother
Stanley Harbin.
At the time of his death, he was survived by his wife
of 64 years Melba Louise Harbin of Tyler; daughter’s
Rita Turner and husband Steve of Tyler, and CoAnn
Lathem and husband Steve of Austin; brothers Melvin
Harbin (RHS-1944) of San Angelo and Kenneth Harbin of
Dallas; grandchildren and spouse Robert and Wendy
Rounsavall and Carrie & Michael Murphy.
