WILLIAM WORTH CARLIN, JR., 74, son of Nell Beatrice
Whalen and William Worth Carlin, Sr., was born on
Oct. 11, 1929 in Ranger, TX passed away on Nov. 13,
2003 in Corpus Christi, TX.
He attended Ranger High School in the Class of 1946.
Worth was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving
with the U.S. Army. Prior to his retirement in 1987
he had been employed with PPG as a chemist for over
30 years. During his retirement for the past 15 years,
Worth was very active with the Corpus Christi Literacy
Council & the Ships of Discovery at the Corpus Christi
Museum of Science and History.
His wife, Jo Kathryn Carlin, son, Timothy Carlin and
daughter, Stephanie Carlin, sister, Anita Carlin
Krueger (RHS-1950) who died in 1995, preceded him in
death.
At the time of his death, he is survived by his three
sons, Worth Carlin (Sue) of Houston, TX, Chris Carlin
(Linda) of Gillette, WY and Brian Carlin (Leslie) of
Austin, TX; one daughter, Dorothy Carlin of Chicago,
IL; daughter-in-law, Paige Carlin of Friendswood, TX;
brother, Charles Michael Lavery of Grand Prairie, TX;
and eleven grandchildren.
