HELEN ELIZABETH ROGERS MEDFORD, 96,
of Carbon, TX, affectionately known as Liz, who
peacefully left this world on Dec. 27, 2024.
Born on June 1, 1928, in Ranger, TX, Liz was the
beloved daughter of Jasper and Sallie (Ashcraft)
Rogers. She graduated from Ranger High School in
1946 and later married the love of her life, Bob
Medford, in Sept. of 1948. Together, they embarked

the family farm in Carbon, where they created a
lifetime of cherished memories.
Liz & Bob shared a deep bond that lasted 68 wonderful
years until his passing in 2016. Together, they worked
side-by-side on the farm, where Liz was not only her
husband's right-hand person but also the heart of
their home. Known for her exceptional cooking, she
delighted family and friends with her famous Chicken
Fried Steak and many other culinary creations. Her
talents extended beyond the kitchen; as a gifted
seamstress, she crafted beautiful clothing for her
daughters, often transforming ideas into reality
with love and creativity.
Liz took great pride in her garden, nurturing every
plant with care, and her yard flourished under her
