JACK LENUEL DEATON, 77, of Fort Worth, TX passed
away on Dec. 31, 2008, with burial at the New Gordon
Cemetery in Gordon, TX.
Jack was born on Sept. 3, 1931 in Ranger, TX to Charles
L. & Delphia Chipman Deaton. He attended Ranger High
School in the Class of 1948 in the Freshman & Sophomore
years. Jack grew up in Gordon and was a graduate of
Gordon High School and also attended two years of
college. Jack worked all of his life in the oilfields
from rough neck to tool pusher to pumper. Jack met
and married Karen Nelson in Feb. of 1997 in Fort Worth,
TX. He was a member of the Wedgewood Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother
Bob Deaton (RHS-1947).
Jack is survived by his wife Karen of Fort Worth, two
sons; Charles L. and James D. Deaton both of Clarksville,
KY, step-children: Jessica Auble of Lawton, OK, Tonya
Garcia of Fort Worth and Moses Garcia & wife Katherine
of Fort Worth, a brother C.W. Deaton (RHS-1943) of
Manhattan, NY, a sister Pauline Deaton Pennock (RHS-1941)
of Tuscan, AZ. Nine grandchildren: Parker, Tyler,
Benjamin, Alexis, Sabirna, Deacon, Kasen, Lexus and
Brian, as well as several nieces and nephews.
