BARBARA PUGH WILSON WHEAT, 87, went home
to be with her Lord on Aug. 22, 2017 in Oklahoma
City, OK, with burial in Merriman Cemetery near
Ranger, TX.
Barbara was born on May 23, 1930 in Ranger, TX to
David Franklin Pugh & Mittie Louisa Burk Pugh. She
attended Ranger High School in the Class of 1948.
She enjoyed being around her family, sewing, and
traveling. She loved watching the Dallas Cowboys.
Barbara worked for the City of Ranger, where she
retired as secretary and Judge.
Barbara is survived by one son, Mark Wheat (RHS-1969)
and wife Judy of Ranger; one daughter, Carol Wheat
Crofford (RHS-1971) and husband James of Oklahoma
City, OK; 5 grandchildren, Tracy Driskill, Angela
Nanny, Samantha Abila, Amanda Cantwell, & Christopher
(Lantz) Crofford; 9 great-grandchildren; & 2 great-
great-grandsons. She is also survived by host of
nieces and nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one
great-grandson. Her siblings were Willard Pugh
(RHS-1938), John Pugh (RHS-1940), Norma Pugh (RHS-
1942), Martha Pugh (RHS-1938), & Betty Pugh Nantz
(RHS-1944).
