GRADY BURSON SHOOK, 72, of Carbon, TX died Dec. 18,
2004, in Eastland, TX, with interment in Alameda Cemetery
near Ranger, TX.
Mr. Shook was born Jan. 10, 1932, in Jacksboro, TX, to
Inez Grice & John Shook. He was raised in Ranger. He
married Loretta Tuder and together they raised cows and
farmed peanuts in Carbon. In the late 70's he began doing
printing in his shop at Carbon and later opened Grady's
Printing in Eastland which he operated until his retirement
in 1997. He enjoyed his grandchildren, playing country/western
music on his guitar, tinkering, farming and ranching.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta; a son, Grady,
Jr.; father, John; and a brother, Donley Shook.
He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Debra Shook Haley
(RHS-1973) & Matt Haley of Conroe, TX; son and wife, Cordell
and Arnie Shook of Carbon; mother, Inez Shook of Eastland;
sister, Erma Lee Shook Perrin (RHS-1945) of Ranger, 7 grand-
children and 3 great-grandchildren.
