MARSHALL MAXINE LANDTROOP MORRIS, 80,
of Beeville, TX, entered into eternal rest on
April 1, 2012, at her home surrounded by her
family. Burial was at Beeville Memorial Park
with full military honors.
She was born on June 1, 1932, in Ranger, Texas, to
the late Homer Leroy and Leona (RHS-1926) Landtroop.
She graduated from Ranger High School in the Class
of 1949. Maxine proudly served in the United States
Air Force, serving her country for four years. In
March of 1955, in France, she was united in marriage
to Perry S. Morris.
Mourning her loss, yet cherishing her memory are:
one son, Perry S. Morris, Jr. (Melinda) of Giddings;
one daughter, Melody S. O達rien (Michael) of Many,
Louisiana; three grandsons, Lane M. Morris of Beeville,
Kristopher S. O達rien (Theresa) of Houston, Kasey D.
O達rien (Lisa) of Richmond; two granddaughters, Carrie
E. Morris of Saint Cloud, MN, and Kimberly O達rien
of Richmond; and four great-grandchildren. Paula
Angus James (RHS-1957) was her cousin.
HUSBAND: PERRY STEVEN MORRIS, SR., 75, passed
away at his residence in Beeville on Oct. 29, 2005, with
burial at Beeville Memorial Park with full military honors.
Mr. Morris was born in Cando Sarles, ND, on June 15, 1930.
He was retired (Civil Services) 20 years from NAS Chase
Field in Beeville.
Mr. Morris is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Maxine
Landtroop Morris (RHS-1949) of Beeville; one daughter Melody
(Mike) O達rien of Richmond, TX: one son Perry Steven
(Melinda) Morris Jr. of Giddings, TX; one sister Grace
(Frank) Romanowaski of Lamont, IL; one brother Thomas
(Norma) Morris of Indianapolis, IN; also five grand-
children
Mr. Morris is preceded in death by his parents Louis Morris
and Faye Gaymon Morris.
Mr. Morris was a chaplain, served in the U.S. Navy for 23
years, served in Vietnam, was also a Navy Seabee.
