NOEL VAUGHN KIM, 67, was born in Thurber, TX, on
Nov. 18, 1934, to Louise & Lester Kim, but grew up
in Ranger, TX. He was in the Ranger High School
Class of 1953. Noel died in Eastland on Sept. 21,
2002. His brothers, LaVoice Royce Kim (RHS-1943)
& Stacy L. Kim (RHS-1944) were also born in Thurber
and raised in Ranger. Their mother remarried Clyde
Kelley after the father's death and died at Eastland
in 2003 at age 96. Clyde Kelley preceded her in death.
Noel was cremated and his ashes later scattered at his
mother's grave-site at Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger.
He was first married to Annlee Wolford (RHS-1954),
now deceased, and they had three children. The eldest
son, David Kim, lives in Cleveland, TX, another son is
Chris Kim and a daughter, Vicki. Noel's widow, Glenda
Inez Wysk Hurst, a second wife, lives in Eastland. His
parents are buried at Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger along
with their sons Noel Vaughn Kim & Stacy L. Kim. LaVoice
Royce is buried elsewhere. Private Stacy Kim served in
the U.S. Army, receiving the Purple Heart for injuries
sustained.
