Doyle Gentry OLLIN DOYLE GENTRY, 68, of Ranger, TX passed away on May 7, 2002 in Weatherford, TX, with burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger, TX. Doyle was born in the Alameda Community on Dec. 11, 1933 to Lynn Gentry & Lucille Lee Gentry. He graduated from Ranger High School and attended Ranger College for 3 years. He married Shirley Sharp (RHS-1958) in June of 1958 in Ranger. Doyle was a member of the Ranger Masonic Lodge AF & AM # 738 for over 45 years. He worked for Anderson Motors and for Fullen Motors for 38 years as parts manager until he retired 5 years ago. Doyle had Gentry Trucking Company for several years and J.D. Cattle Company hauling cattle with his son. Doyle enjoyed taking his daughter to rodeos. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1957 and is a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Strawn, TX. Survivors at the time of his death include his wife, Shirley Gentry of Ranger; son Jackie Gentry of Ranger; daughter and son-in-law Kelly Lee and Joe Bond of Ranger; sisters Gwen Gentry Campbell (RHS-1947) of Granbury and Peggy Gentry Akers (RHS-1957) & husband Jack of Hurst; three grandchildren: Brady, Jessica and Rowdy; and three nieces and two nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Gentry (RHS-1965).
