ELPIDIA NAVA CAMACHO, 75, passed away on April 16,
2013 in El Paso, TX. She was known as Elpidia
Gonzales in school.
She was born in Dallas, TX on Nov. 8, 1937. She
was a graduate of Ranger High School in the Class
of 1956, Ranger Jr. College at Ranger, TX where
she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa National Jr.
College Scholastic Society, The University of
Texas at Arlington and the University of Nevada
at Las Vegas where she received a Master of Arts
in English & a Master of Arts in Foreign Language
and was a member of Phi Sigma Iota International
Foreign Language Honor Society. She was a Extra-
ordinary Minister of Holy Communion, a Lector and
a member of the Adult Choir at Saint Joseph, Husband
of Mary Roman Catholic Church in Las Vegas, NV.
Elpidia (Pia) was preceded in death by her parents,
Eufemia Nava Camacho and Jose Ruelas Camacho.
She is survived by her brother John Camacho (RHS-
1964) and sisters Delia Camacho (RHS-1966), Ramona
Camacho (RHS-1973) and sister-in-law Esther Camacho.
She is also survived by her nephews, John Camacho,
Joseph Camacho and nieces Remi Garcia (Adrian),
Stephanie Camacho, Christina Camacho, great-nephew
Paul Garcia, great-nieces Mia Camacho, Samantha
Moreno Camacho, Sophia Garcia and Lauren Lara.
She will be missed by her family, many friends
and her beloved pet, Pierre whom she called "Her
Lifeline".
