Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1956

Beverley Gailey Eddleman BEVERLEY GAILEY EDDLEMAN, 86, of La Casa, TX passed away on April 26, 2024, at her home, with interment at the Mount Zion Cemetery. Beverley Ann Gailey, better known as "Mary Beth" to her family, was born on Sept. 6, 1937 in Strawn, TX to parents Nicholas Clayton Gailey & Selma Foy Rhyne Gailey. She graduated from Ranger High School in 1956. After graduation, Beverley was employed at the Strawn First National Bank as the bank president's secretary, where she met the love of her life. The couple hit it off and a year later in Aug. of 1957, also her parents' anniversary, Beverley married Donald Ray "Don" Eddleman at the Gailey family ranch. Don & Beverley were still living in Strawn when they welcomed their first baby girl, Donna Ann, in 1957. Soon the family moved to Abilene for Don's promotion with General Dynamics. From there, they would make their home in Fort Worth. While there, he became the foreman of the welding department over General Dynamics, which is now known as Lockheed Martin. In 1964, Don & Beverley welcomed a son, Barry Ray. Then in 1966, Brenda Darlene completed their family. In 1974, after 14 years of living in Fort Worth, the couple decided it was time to move back home to the La Casa community. Once back home, Beverley assisted Don with farming and ranching and together they formed D&B Oil and Gas in 1992. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was also active in the Order of the Eastern Star Strawn Chapter #361 since the early 1950s. Over the years, she served in every position in the Chapter, even serving as a Past Worthy Matron during 1991-1992. Beverley's main passion was being a mother and all that entailed. Her world revolved around her children. That devotion carried on throughout her life and she still loved spending time with her family every chance she got. She was especially close to Chelsey's four boys and attended as many activities of theirs as she could. Beverley loved to be outdoors, playing with her grandkids and great grandkids. She had countless hummingbirds at her home for years and she sometimes referred to the friendly little flyers as her spirit animal. Her family lovingly knew her as MomMom and she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, N.C. "Nick" & Selma Gailey; her husband of 45 years, Don Eddleman; six siblings, Billy Gailey, Betty Fawn Gailey, Barbara Gailey Waddington and husband L.S., Bob Gailey, Ben Gailey (RHS-1958) & wife Verna, Bernita Gailey Stringer (RHS-1962) and husband Ken; brother-in-law, Jack Eddleman; and one daughter, Donna Ann Eddleman Rice; and several nieces and nephews. Beverley is survived by two children, Brenda Eddleman Bradford (RHS-1984) and husband Cody of La Casa, and Barry Eddleman (RHS-1982) of Snyder; one brother, Byron Gailey & wife Sarah of Strawn; sisters-in-law, Margaret Gailey of Strawn, and Mary Eddleman of Arlington; ten grandchildren, Lori Hohertz and husband Harlan of Zephyr, Lexi Lee, Laci Shirley and husband Justin, Nick Fambro and wife Rebecca, all of Breckenridge, Bray Eddleman of Moore, OK, Jessica Poole and husband Dallon of Belton, Heather Eddleman, Prairie Eddleman, both of Moore, Chelsey Bradford McClymond and husband Luke of Breckenridge, Chauncy Bradford and wife Jessica of Roswell, NM; seventeen great-grandchildren, Henslie Hohertz, Hutsyn Hohertz, Haskyl Hohertz, Hayzen Hohertz, Romney Hill, Raleigh Lee, Callie Fambro, Canyon Shirley, Sloan Fambro, Evie Fambro, Ryker Poole, Gypsum Poole, Bradford Cantyn McClymond, Carder McClymond, Colemyn McClymond, Cuade McClymond, and Chisum Bradford; numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great- nephews; and a host of other relatives. HUSBAND: DON EDDLEMAN, 67, of LaCasa Community in TX passed away March 13, 2003, with burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Don was born on Oct. 1, 1935 in Whitney, TX, to Rosa Lela Stuard and John Frank Eddleman. He grew up in Brecken- ridge, graduating high school there. He attended Vocational Industrial Clubs of America & received a teaching certificate through the University of Texas. Don taught school in Fort Worth Independent School District for 1 year, deciding to go to work as a welder and foreman for General Dynamics for the next 20 years. He married Beverley Gailey (RHS-1956) on August 2, 1957 at the Gailey ranch. Don returned to LaCasa Community in 1974 after retiring from General Dynamics to work as a self employed welder and rancher. Later he and Beverley formed D&B Oil & Gas, and he continued to work this business until his illness. Don was a member of the Strawn Masonic Lodge #906 AF & AM for 45 yrs. serving as Past Master. He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. Don will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved spending time outdoors with his family, children and grandchildren fishing and hunting. Don is survived by his wife of 45 years Beverley Eddleman of LaCasa Community; a daughter, Donna Eddleman and fiancé Robert Rice of Breckenridge and Eastland; a son, Barry Ray Eddleman (RHS-1982) and current principal of Ranger High School), and wife Gina of LaCasa Community; a daughter, Brenda Eddleman Bradford (RHS-1984) and husband Cody of LaCasa Community; a brother Jack Eddleman and wife Mary of Arlington; & 9 grand- children and many nieces and nephews.
