ROBERT BALDRIDGE SIMMONS, 62, of Ranger,
TX passed away on April 9, 2004, with burial in
Evergreen Cemetery at Ranger.
Mr. Simmons was born April 4, 1942 in Ranger to
Floyd & Geneva (Crawford) Simmons. He attended
school in Ranger where he lived most of his life.
Robert married Beverly White in Aug. of 1969 in
Wichita Falls, TX. He owned and operated Simmons
Plumbing for 36 years starting when he was 16
years old helping two of the local plumbers.
He served in the Navy Seabees during the Vietnam
War, doing three tours of duty. He had been a
member of the Church of God church in Ranger,
Texas.
At the time of his death, Mr. Simmons was survived
by his wife, Beverly Simmons of Ranger; two sons,
Charlie (RHS-1991) and Micky Simmons of Ranger;
daughter, Lee Ann Underwood of Killeen; and son,
Tracy O'Neal of Nocona; two brothers, Jesse Simmons
(RHS-1958) of Brownwood and Charles Walton of Garden
Grove, CA; sister-in-law, Helen Milner of Burkburnett;
nine grandchildren; and numerous niece and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a stepfather,
Golden Bond; a brother, James Simmons (RHS-1959);
and a daughter, Norma Jean Simmons.
WIFE: BEVERLY SUE WHITE SIMMONS, 76, a beacon
of strength and wisdom, passed away on May 25, 2024
at her home in Henrietta, TX surrounded by two of her
sons, Michael (Mickey) Simmons and Charlie Simmons
and her faithful companion, Lucy.
Beverly was born on Feb. 8, 1948 to Rex & Sam White
in Wichita Falls, TX & attended school in Henrietta.
Beverly married Robert Simmons in Aug. of 1970 and
moved to Ranger, TX where she lived for 49 years
making a home for her husband and her 4 children.
She also made lifelong friendships that she deeply
treasured.
She is survived by her 4 children, LeeAnn Oliveira
(Richard) of McKinney TX, Tracy O'Neal (Connie) of
Nocona TX, Mickey Simmons of Henrietta, and Charlie
Simmons, also of Henrietta. Grandkids Jason Bilyeu
(Kari), Aaron Underwood, Zowie O'Neal (Casey), Colter
Underwood (Dana) Tyler O'Neal, Austin Simmons, Dylan
Simmons, and Great granddaughter Kaylee Underwood.
She also leaves behind her loving sister Glenda Lavy
(Robert) of Henrietta, her cherished girl Lucy, who
never left her side and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Robert, her
parents Rex & Sam, a sister Margie Haberman Bransom,
brothers Doris White, Billy Wayne White, and Donald
Lee White.
