JOYCE JOHNSON SAWEY, 66 of San Antonio,
TX passed away on Nov. 29, 2007, with burial
in the Kenedy Cemetery.
She was born to the late Charles James &
Dotsie Parr Johnson on June 30, 1942 in
Ranger, TX. Joyce attended Young School &
Ranger High School in the Class of 1960.
At the time of her death, Joyce was survived
by sons, Keith (Terre) Sawey of Bulverde,
Royce (Barbara) Sawey & Glenn (Christy)
Sawey of San Antonio, sister, Wanda Strachan
(RHS-1956) of Texarkana, brother, Lawrence
Johnson of Abilene, grandchildren, Kristofer,
Klayton, Elaine, Sydney, Nathan Sawey and
great-grandson, Julian Sawey.
BROTHER: LAWRENCE PARR JOHNSON, 82, died
Feb. 21, 2015 at Abilene, TX, with burial
at Hawley Cemetery.
Mr. Johnson was born in Brownwood, TX to
Charles James Johnson Sr. & Dotsie Ellen
Parr. He grew up in Ranger and moved to
Abilene in 1950. He worked as a diesel
mechanic.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his wife
Nancy Sanders Johnson, his parents, & several
brothers and sisters including Joyce Sawey
(RHS-1960).
He is survived by daughters Deborah Billings
and husband Derl, and Stacye Johnson. Son
James Johnson, 4 grandchildren, 7 great-
grandchildren, & 3 great-great grandchildren.
His daughter, Deborah Billings, passed away
on March 5, 2016. She was born July 6, 1952
in Ranger, TX to Lawrence Johnson & Lettie
Taylor Cason. She was married to Derl Billings.
Deborah was a homemaker & a graduate of Bells
High School. She is survived by her husband,
Derl of Ambrose; daughters, Robin Allen and
Dennis Julius of Savoy and Brandy Yates and
Billy Carroll of Bells; step-sons, John and
Sandra Billings and Todd and Sheena Billings;
step-daughter, Rhonda & Bubba Huffman; sister,
Stacy Johnson; grandchildren Kellie Lopez and
Bud, Reecy & Lane Allen, Colton Yates, Krystal
Edgington, Chase, Madison, Emily, Trenton and
Lucia Billings, Danielle Albert and Lorinda
Lillie; seven great-grandchildren; & numerous
nieces and nephews.
