DAVID WEBB, 77, of Abilene, TX, passed away on
Dec. 30, 2020, with burial in the Texas State
Veterans Cemetery at Abilene.
He was born Oct. 26, 1943 in Levelland, TX to the
late Johnie Ruth & Russell Ford Webb. He attended
Ranger High School in the Class of 1961 at Ranger,
TX but graduated from Abilene High in 1961.
David earned a Bachelor Degree in Business Admini-
stration from Texas Tech University and obtained
his CPA certificate that he held for over 50 years.
While at Tech he was a Delta Tau Delta, proudly
wore the Saddle Tramps red shirt, & became friends
with Henry John Deutschendorf (John Denver). Another
pledge buddy & roommate was Kent R. Hance who later
served as chancellor emeritus of the Texas Tech
University System and was a member of the U.S. House
of Representatives from West Texas. Subsequently,
after Texas Tech, David proudly served our country
in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1967 through 1971.
During David's successful business career, he
obtained his Real Estate and Broker?s licenses
and became landlord to many houses in the local
area. In December 2011 he met and later married
the love of his life, Rhonda. They started building
a magical love story of their lives together. Seldom
apart, they enjoyed so many fun travels & experienced
the joy of just being together. They often expressed
to each other how grateful and lucky they were to have
found each other and were living life to the fullest
while making so many good memories.
David is survived by his wife, Rhonda Webb of Abilene;
sister Glenda Webb Eubanks (RHS-1958) of Abilene; son
Glen Webb and Misti of Albany; and son Russell Webb of
NRHills; grandchildren; Macie, Matthew, William, and
Ella; niece, Cheryl Johnston and family of Abilene;
nephew, Robert Willen and family of Abilene.
