DR. CHARLES GENE FERGESON, 70, of Bryan, TX passed
away on March 21, 2015.
Charles was born in Ft. Worth, TX to Theo and Mary
(Roark) Fergeson on March 22, 1944. He attended
Ranger High School in the Class of 1962 at Ranger,
TX, but graduated from Stephen F. Austin High
School in Bryan prior to attending Allen Academy
on a baseball scholarship. He earned his Bachelor
of Science degree at Texas A&M and a Doctorate of
Dentistry at University of Texas. He entered the
U.S. Navy in 1966 and served as a Navy dentist at
Paris Island, SC, before returning to Texas where
he established his private practices that lasted
33 years.
He was predeceased by his beloved grandson, Jake,
a victim of childhood cancer.
At the time of his death, he was survived by his
wife of 25 years, Anna Faye Fergeson; son, Matthew
and wife Laura; daughter, Mardon and husband Henry;
two brothers, Billy Fergeson (RHS-1953) and Bob
Fergeson (RHS-1960); and one sister, Lynda Fergeson
McQuaid (RHS-1958). He is also survived by 8 grand-
children and 2 great-grandchildren.
