JIMMY DON FOX, 62, of Weatherford, TX passed away
on Sept. 1, 2007, at a private care facility, from
an extremely rare type of cancer. Burial was in
Curtis Cemetery.
Don Fox was born August 13, 1945, in Tioga, to Adolph
J. and Minnie Lou (Alford) Fox. He attended Ranger
High School at Ranger, TX during his Sophomore & Junior
years before moving to Electra, TX. He was a graduate of
Electra High School in 1963 and attended Lee University
in Cleveland, Tennessee and Midwestern State University
in Wichita Falls. In August of 1967 he married Paula
Jean Parrish in Snyder. Don served in the Army National
Guard from 1967 to 1973. He was employed by LTV Corp.
oration as a paint specialist from 1967 to 1977. In 1977,
Don became a self-employed contractor, initially as a
remodeler/painter and later on as a house preservationist
and estimator for various Property Preservation companies.
Don was a member of the Lakeside Church of God. He served
on numerous Church and Community committees. He loved
spoiling his grandson, Ty, and granddaughters, Samantha,
Sidney, and Sawyer. He also loved traveling to see and
enjoy the beauty of God’s wonderful handiwork. His keen
sense of humor and love for life will always be remembered.
Don was preceded in death by his mother, Minnie Fox.
Survivors at the time of his death: wife of 42 years, Paula
Fox of Weatherford; daughter, Jeana Fox of Arlington; son,
Chad and wife Renee Fox of Weatherford; grandchildren, Ty,
Samantha, Sidney, and Sawyer of Weatherford; father, A.J.
Fox of Weatherford; brother, Glenn Fox (RHS-1962 & wife,
Florence) of Weatherford; sisters, Brenda (husband, Bill)
Bertocchini & Carolyn (husband, Johnny) Hill of Midlothian;
brother-in-law, Derrell (wife, Judi) of Scottsdale, AZ;
sister-in-law, Ann (husband, Eddie) Gregory of Colorado
City.
