MARY CATHERINE FRON HARDIN, 67, of Sand Springs,
OK, died peacefully in her sleep on August 9,
2012, in Tulsa, OK after a long battle with COPD.
Interment was at Woodland Memorial Park in Sand
Springs.
Mary was born in Ranger, TX to Mike and Cynthia
Artie Fron, and attended school in Ranger, TX -
Class of 1963. She married Bobby Joe Hardin
Nov. of 1964 in Claremore, OK, and they lived in
the Tulsa and Sand Springs area. Mary was a
homemaker and devoted homeroom Mom for many
years and later went to work in the cafeteria
at Keystone School. Mary became an assembler for
Tulsa Cable and later for Baxter Pharmaceuticals
in Mannford, OK. During all those years Mary
also managed her husband’s home trucking/pilot
car business. She loved fishing, boating,
camping, playing poker, cooking, entertaining
friends and family, and bickering at Bobby Joe;
the whole time making everyone around her laugh.
At the time of her death, Mary was survived by
her daughter Cindy Haberfield and granddaughter
Lauren Haberfield, whom Mary lived with in Tulsa
when she passed, along with Cindy’s fiancé Keith
Najera and his daughter, Taylor; step-daughter
Paula Hardin Mitchell and step-grandson Ean
Hardin of Oakland, TN; honorary daughter Heather
Ozbirn and Heather’s sons Brendon and Ethan of
Sand Springs, OK; brothers Herman Fron (RHS-1963)
and wife Carmen of Cottonwood, CA, Bob Fron (RHS-
1960) and wife Naomi (RHS-1964) of Keller, TX,
and Doug Fron (RHS-1965) and wife Quona of Ranger,
TX; there were many nieces and nephews who were
each loved by Aunt Mary, and in-laws and their
families that she considered her own.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband and
parents.
HUSBAND: BOBBY JOE HARDIN, 67 of Sand Springs,
passed away Oct. 10, 2006 in Tulsa, OK, with burial
in Woodland Memorial Park Cemetery at Sand
Springs.
Bobby was born on August 21, 1939 in New Albany,
MS, to Joe B. & Louise Jines Hardin. He attended
school in Jackson, Tennessee and served in the
U.S. Army during peace time.
Bobby married Mary Fron (RHS-1963) in November of
1964 in Claremore, OK and lived in the Tulsa and
Sand Springs area. He was self employed in the
trucking business where he leased out his truck for
several companies. Bobby won numerous awards for
safe driving from the American Trucking Association.
He loved cooking on the outside grill, camping and
playing with grandchildren. Bobby was always the
life of the party and loved making people laugh.
He is survived by: wife; Mary Hardin of the home;
three daughters; Paula L. Mitchell of Oakland,
TN, Cindy M. Haberfield and son-in-law; Mark of
Tulsa, OK and Heather Ozbirn of Sand Springs, OK.
Five sisters; Mary Bailey and husband Floyd of
Jackson, TN, Lena Johnson of Jackson, TN, Margaret
Knolton and husband Sammy of Clarksville, TN, Marie
Pierce of Jackson, Brenda Austin of Gadsden, TN.
Three grandchildren; Ean Hardin of Oakland, TN,
Lauren M. Haberfield of Tulsa, OK and Brendon M.
Morrow of Sand Springs, OK. Host of nieces and
nephews.
He was preceded in death by; parents, Joe B. and
Louise Hardin.
