KENNETH WIER "PAT" JAMESON was born in
Ranger, TX on Dec. 4, 1946 to Kenneth Clair Wier
(RHS-1930) and Aubrey Murl Jameson. He was a
member of the Ranger High School Class of 1965.
Pat died on Oct. 16, 1983, at the age of 36.
He attended San Marcos Military Academy. He served
in the U.S. Air Force during the Viet Nam conflict
and was stationed at Hill AFB in Ogden, Utah, and
overseas in the Philippines, Thailand and Viet Nam.
Pat married Rosemary Carter in Winona, Mississippi,
in June of 1967. He and his wife returned to Ranger
after his discharge in 1968 where they attended
Ranger Jr. College. They moved to Stephenville where
both attended Tarleton State & Pat became interested
in aviation, taking flying lessons and becoming a
licensed pilot.
They had two daughters: Patricia Ann "Trish" Jameson
(RHS-1990) at Stephenville & Katherine Ellen Jameson
at Downey, CA. Tragically, Patricia Ann, was killed
in April of 1986, at the age of 14, during a tornado
at Kilgore while visiting an aunt. She was attending
Ranger Jr. High and would have been in the graduating
Class of 1990. Katherine Ellen Jameson graduated
Valedictorian with the RHS Class of 1994 and married
Carl Barker, Jr., also of that class. They have three
sons including a set of twins. Her husband Carl is the
son of Paula Barker, a teacher in the Ranger school
system, and Carl Barker, Sr.
Pat was employed by the Swift Food Company and the
family lived in Corpus Christi, Memphis, Portland
and Los Angeles before returning to Ranger where Pat
worked at a multitude of jobs, including the police
force and as a welder. He died in Oct. of 1983 of
coronary artery disease after undergoing bypass surgery.
Rosemary Carter Jameson later married Stan Harper.
