CHARLES "CHARLIE" LEWIS ORMS joined his Father in
Heaven on Jan. 1, 2009 at the age of 59 after a
two year battle with cancer. He passed peacefully
with his devoted wife of 39 years holding his hand.
Charlie was born in Marshall, TX, but spent most of
his life in and around Eastland County. He was a
football legend for Ranger High School at Ranger, TX
in the late 60s & received a full football scholarship
to Abilene Christian University. He married his high
school sweetheart, Judy Carroll, in 1970, and together,
they started a very successful lifelong business in
aquaculture. He delivered fish & fish bait to all the
major lakes in central Texas, and stocked virtually
every tank in Eastland and the surrounding counties.
He is survived by Judy; their three sons, Bryan and
his wife Angie, and their six children Ashlyn, Austin,
Andrew, Sara, Haley and Madison, son Brandon and his
wife Keri, and their daughter Holland and son Russell
and his wife Wendy; His siblings, brother Pat and his
wife Jody and sister Sandra Orms (RHS-1965) and her
husband Bobby and niece Carlene and her husband Bob.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Eva
Orms and his sister Linda Dailey.
Charlie impacted the lives of so many in this area. He
will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and
his ability to always see the bright side of every day.
His never ending smile will be missed by those who knew
and loved him so much.
