DONALD "BRUCE" SHOOK was born Jan. 11, 1950
in Ranger, TX to parents, Donley Shook & Betty Joyce
Strickler Shook, and passed from this life on Aug. 7,
2023 at his home in Medford, OK, with burial in the
Lamont Cemetery.
He attended Young School, Ranger High School in the
Class of 1968, & Ranger Jr. College. Bruce had lived
in the Medford area for thirty-four years, having
moved from Breckenridge, TX. His life work was in
the oil and gas industry and for Koch.
Bruce had several hobbies namely, guns and cars. He
rebuilt guns and hunted with them and was a lifetime
member of NRA. His car hobby involved GTOs in particular.
He enjoyed leather working. Then there were his
important poodles, Beau and Zoe, who kept him company.
Those who have preceded him in death are his wife,
Deborah Shook; his father, Donley Shook; brother,
Robert Shook (RHS-1977), and his favorite poodle,
Paco.
Those who survive Bruce are his mother, Betty Joyce
Shook; one brother, Gaylon Shook and wife, Renee; one
sister; Lynna Shook Lobstein (RHS-1971) and husband,
Joe; mother of Brandye and Melyssa, Constance Shook;
children, Brandye Shook, Melyssa Shook, Amanda Boone,
Nicole Hueppelsheuser, Pamela Lascewski and Jonathan
Boone; grandchildren, Madysn Shook, Carter Lascewski,
Rileigh Lascewski, Jordyn and Ryan Hueppelsheuser,
Gabriel Childress, Jacob Miller, and Gwen Miller.
