ELAINE PATTENAUDE, 20, died in 1990. She graduated
from Ranger High School in 1987 at Ranger, TX. Elaine
was an outstanding student. She played basketball and
was in the band. Her parents were Eleanor Agnes and
Melvin Joseph Pattenaude. She had two brothers, Jason
Lawrence Pattenaude (RHS-1991) & Aaron J. Pattenaude
(RHS-1994).
MOTHER: ELEANOR AGNES SANCHEZ PATTENAUDE,
78 of Ranger, TX passed away Nov. 10, 2021, with
burial in Evergreen Cemetery at Ranger.
Mrs. Pattenaude was born June 6, 1943 in Chicago,
IL to Lawrence Sanchez & Olive Flores Sanchez.
After high school she attended Ranger Jr. College
for a year. She married Melvin “Skip” Pattenaude
in June of 1962 in Chicago. She worked for the
Ranger Independent School District for 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her
beloved daughter, Elaine Marie Pattenaude (RHS-
1987); brother, Jerry Sanchez; sisters, Betty
Conway, and Joan Cordero.
Survivors include her husband, Melvin “Skip”
Pattenaude; three sons, Melvin Michael “Skip”
Pattenaude & Elaine, Jason Lawrence Pattenaude,
and Aaron Joseph Pattenaude and Bobbie Rogers;
granddaughter, Sheila Marie Pattenaude; brothers,
Larry Sanchez, Tom Sanchez, and Tony Sanchez;
sisters, Rita Quevedo, Mary Ellen Sanchez, Josie
Terrones, Shirley Sanchez, and Mary Lords French;
5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 2
great-great-grandchildren.
SISTER: MARY ELLEN SANCHEZ of Ranger, TX,
was called home at the age of 81. She worked and
retired at Eastland Memorial Hospital, however,
the most important to her was caring for her
parents as they got older. She was a devout and
faithful Christian and always spoke of her faith.
She was a wonderful daughter, friend, sister and
an amazing aunt to numerous nieces, nephews and
great-nieces and great-nephews.
Mary Ellen was born May 27, 1942 in Chicago, IL to
Olive Gomez Sanchez and Lawrence F. Sanchez. Her
siblings she was preceded in death were, Eleanor
Pattenaude (RHS-1987), Jerry Sanchez, Joan Cordero,
and Elizabeth Conway.
She is survived by siblings, Josephine Terrones,
Tony, Tom and Larry Sanchez, Shirley Sanchez, Mary
Lourdes, Rita Quevedo and numerous nieces & nephews.
She will be laid to rest near her mother, father,
sister and niece. Her presence, light and love will
be deeply missed.
