MICHAEL GLENN WELLS, 50, went home to be
with his Lord on Dec. 13, 2018, with burial at the
Merriman Cemetery near of Ranger, TX.
Michael was born on July 24, 1968 in Dallas, TX to
Walter Marlin & Barbara Caraway Wells. He was a
graduate of Ranger High School in the Class of 1987.
Michael worked in the oil & gas industry as a pumper.
In March of 2018, he married Tonette Cherry in Ranger.
He was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Toni, parents; Walter
and Barbara, sons; Justin Wells (RHS-2007) and wife
Rebecca, Mathew Wells (RHS-2010) and wife Taylor,
Tyler Wells and wife Kelsey, Daughter; Stacha Beitel
(RHS-2008), brother; Jerry Wells (RHS-1984) and
wife Vicki and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Steven Wells
(RHS-1992) and James Wells (RHS-1988).
FATHER: WALTER M. WELLS, 76, passed away on
Sept. 5, 2019, with burial in Merriman Cemetery
near Ranger, TX.
Walter was born Aug. 31, 1943 in Lubbock, TX to
Bervel & Gladys Cozart Wells. He joined the U.S.
Army in 1961 and served until 1964. While in the
service, he was recognized as a Sharpshooter
(Rifle M-1) and Expert (Rifle M-14). Walter was
a Jack of All Trades.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 3
sons; Michael, James and Steven Wells, brothers;
Lloyd, Derwood, Virgil, Johnny and Bobby Wells.
Walter is survived by one son Jerry Wells & wife
Vicki of Odessa, 8 grandchildren and numerous
great-grandchildren, and a sister Betty Ellen
Harrell and many nieces and nephews.
