STEVEN W. GAWLIK, 34, died on Feb. 25, 2006 at
Lancaster, CA from complications related to surgery
to repair a fractured spine and multiple ruptured
discs.
Steven was born May 11, 1971, in Alice, TX, to
Dorothy Lois Hartman & Michael James Gawlik. He
attended Ranger High School in the Class of 1989
at Ranger, TX and served in the U.S. Air Force
where he received training in electronics. He
owned and operated a hot rod fabrication shop
in Las Vegas, NV, until the re-fracture of his
spine caused his health to deteriorate. Steven
taught himself computers and grew that into a
very successful technology support business that
he still maintained on a part-time basis until
his death. He taught himself about cars and had
created and improved upon many internal parts of
a hot rod engine to advance engine performance.
Steven was an energetic and funny man who had a
love for his nieces & nephews that was remarkable.
He was an intelligent, talented and gifted man
who will be missed by all who knew him.
Steven married Judy Young Kim of Lancaster, CA, in
Dec. of 2004, where they had lived together for the
past six years. More recently they had lived in
Las Vegas, NV. Steven also leaves behind his two
cats, Sylvester and Babie.
Steven's brother is Michael James Gawlik, Jr.,
(RHS-1988) of Soledad, CA, & his sister is Donna
Hardwick (RHS-1991) of Littleton, CO.

Steven's niece Andrea & her husband Mike Blair.
