STANLEY S. FLOWERS, SR., passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 3,
2009. Stan had been retired from AT&T/Lucent Technologies after
35 years of service. He loved his wife, his family, his friends,
fitness, his church work, and most of all his grandchildren. Stan
had a great disposition, a reverence for life, and loved the joy
he provided to others. He did not know a stranger, and at a moments
notice, would generously lend a helping hand. He "cleaned up well"
and knew how to wear a good tie. He was a true gentleman and his
generosity and caring spirit will be missed by family and friends.
Burial was at Resurrection Cemetery in Ohio.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Flowers; children, Stanley
(Karla) Flowers II, Sharon (Robert) McKenzie, and Suzanne Flowers;
grandchildren, Skyler, Alisha, Ashli, JT, Kasia, Aliyah, and Janaya;
mother, Pauline Greenwell; brother, William (Josie) Flowers; sisters,
Sylvia Moore (Dave Blough), and Marilyn (Darrell) Comer; a host of
nieces, nephews, family and friends. He is preceded in death by his
father William V. Flowers.
