JAMES "JIM" WILFRED O'CONNELL passed away in
Marble Falls, TX on Jan. 3, 2023, with burial in
the Sacred Heart Mausoleum at Rowlett, TX.
Born on Jan. 10, 1939 in New York, NY to James
Valentine O’Connell & Doris Hudson Jayne. He and
his loving wife, Mona Jean O’Connell, married 60
years ago in Columbus, OH. Jim retired from AT&T
and served in both the USAF & the Navy Reserves.
He was a Master Mason & past Master of Metropolitan
Lodge in Dallas, TX and was also asked to serve as
Director at Hella Temple in Garland, TX. In his
free time, Jim enjoyed playing golf and was an
avid reader.
He is survived by his sons Kelly Sean O’Connell &
Timothy Brian O’Connell, wife Lisa; granddaughter
Danielle Christine Benazet, husband Urbain Cesar
Benazet; grandson Matthew Brian O’Connell & great-
grandchildren Felix Cesar Benazet and Milo Julian
Benazet.
