LILLIE ROBINSON, 83, of Temple, TX a former longtime
Ranger, TX resident & teacher, died in June of 1985 at
her home. She had grown up in Gatesville. In Ranger,
she was loved and highly respected by all her students
who affectionately referred to her as "Aunt Lillie,"
(but never to her face.) Interment was at Bellwood
Memorial Park in Temple, TX.
She was born Nov. 2, 1901. She received her AA degree
from Ranger Junior College in 1930, her bachelor's
degree from Abilene Christian College in 1934 and her
master's degree from Hardin-Simmons University in 1950.
She had lived 60 years in Ranger before moving to Temple
a year ago. She taught at Ranger High School & Ranger
Junior College before retiring. She was a member of
American Association of University Women, Delta Kappa
Gamma, Temple Federated Women's Club, Retired Teachers
Association of Bell County, New Era Club of Ranger and
First Baptist Church in Temple.
Her husband, George died in 1983. She had a daughter
(Caroline-Mrs. Lawrence Maedgen of Troy, TX), a sister
(Marie-Mrs. Otto Gafner of Ranger), four grandchildren,
and four great-grandchildren.
HUSBAND: GEORGE ROBINSON, 81, was born March 7, 1902,
and died in April of 1983, in Ranger.
