PAULA MARIE FAULKNER BARKER, 71 years young, went
home to be with her Lord and Savior on Oct. 8, 2020
at her home, with burial in Macedonia Cemetery north
of Ranger, TX.
Paula was born Dec. 19, 1948 in Monahans, TX to Wayne
Curly & Gloria Bennie Summa Faulkner. After graduating
high school, she attended UT Tyler where she received
a Bachelor's of Science degree and became a teacher.
She taught math in Mineral Wells and retired from
Ranger Jr. High where she taught math and computer
technology. In March of 1969, she married Jessie
Carl Barker in Wink, TX. He preceded her in death
in 2016.
Paula loved genealogy and researching her family's
Scottish heritage even having a precious Scottie dog
named Bonnie. She loved to travel and was able to see
a lot of places with her husband. Her greatest loves
were that of her family and her church family. She
was a faithful member of the Daugherty Street Church
of Christ in Eastland.
She is survived by her son, Carl Barker (RHS-1994)
and daughter, Karen Barker Volpitta (RHS-1988) and
husband John, grandchildren; Kasey and Cory Bullock,
Korey and Sam Green, Krista and Jared Matlock, Keith
"Fuzzy" and Elizabeth Volpitta, Gus & Chanda Barker,
Sam & Savannah Barker, Hali Barker & Morgan Barker,
great-grandchildren; Maddi and Emma Bullock, Mary,
Jessie and Ruby Green, Gideon, Teagan, and Asher
Marlock, Joanna Volpitta, and Estella Barker. She
is also survived by a brother; Frank Faulkner and a
sister Beth Ream and husband Robert and numerous
nieces and nephews.
