HURON POLNAC SR., 92, of Round Rock, TX, and
formerly of Ranger, died on Sept. 27, 2001 at a nursing
home, with burial in the Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche,
TX.
Mr. Polnac was born on Nov. 2, 1908 in Lexington, OK.
He was a Baptist minister serving churches in Texas
for over 63 years. After his retirement, he taught
at Ranger Jr. College for 19 years. He married Jo
Elizabeth Gray in January of 1933 in Baird, TX. She
preceded him in death in 1996. He pastored at the
First Baptist Church in Gorman, TX, and at New Hope
Baptist Church in New Hope Community.
Survivors at the time of his death are two sons, Huron A.
Polnac, Jr. of Salt Lake City, UT, and Lennis Polnac of
Austin; four grandchildren, Vickie Louise Polnac of London,
England, Mark Andrew Polnac of Dallas, Jael Elizabeth
Polnac of Silver Springs, MD, and Leigh Alison Barberet
of Winterhaven, FL; and two great-grandchildren, Henry
Grosclose and Dylan Barberet.
