Pictured above is Ranger's second public school building. The
two-story frame building served the district from 1889 until
1905 when the first brick building was erected on the same
lot as the high school campus before 1978. Many students
also came from Stephens County and nearby towns to attend
school here. Enrollment continued to grow to the beginning
of the 20th century from the 143 students in 1895.
