BBQ Beef Ribs

2 Tbsp cooking oil
3 lbs. beef short ribs, trimmed of fat
1 Cup BBQ sauce
2 Tbsp molasses (not blackstrap)
2 Tbsp white vinegar
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 Tbsp soy sauce
1/2 cup chopped onion

Heat cooking oil in frying pan. Add ribs, brown all sides. Drain. Place ribs in 5 quart cooker.

Mix next 6 ingredients well in bowl. Stir in onion, pour over short ribs. Cover and cook on Low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5 hours.

Yield: 6 servings
