Beer and Pretzel Bread
1 Cup Beer (regular or non-alcoholic)
1/2 Cup Water
3 tablespoons Margarine or Butter (softened)
4 Cups Bread Flour
1 tablespoon Packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon Ground mustard
1 1/2 teaspoons Salt
1 3/4 teaspoons Bread Machine yeast
3/4 Cup Bite Size pretzels pieces, about 1x3/4 inch cut into 1 inch pieces
Measure carefully, placing all ingredients except pretzels in the bread machine pan in the order listed by the manufacturer.
Select the Basic/White cycle. Use medium or light color crust. Do not use delay cycle.
Add pretzels at the beep cycle or 5 minutes before the last kneading cycle ends. Remove baked bread from the pan and cool on wire rack.
Yield: 2 pound loaf
