Biscochos
1 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 tsp orange rind
1/3 cup orange juice
1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
4 cupa flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cloves
1 tsp cinnamon
Cream shortening and sugar. Blend in egg, rind, juice, and nuts. Sift dry ingrediants, still and work until smooth. Chill overnight. Roll small amount at a time 1/8" on floured surface. Cut. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake 8-10 minutes @375°F until golden.
