Chicken and Broccoli Braid

2 cups cooked chicken
1 cup chopped broccoli
1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
1 garlic clove
4 oz cheddar cheese
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tsp dill weed
1/2 tsp salt
2 cans refrigerated cresent rolls
1 egg white, beaten
2 Tbsp slivered almonds

Preheat oven to 375°. Chop boccoli chicken and bell pepper; add garlic and cheese, mayo, dill and salt; mix together gently. Press cresent dough onto cookie sheet or baking stone. Along longest sides, cut dough into strips 1 1/2 inches wide and 3 inches deep (on each side). Spread filling into center of dough, and braid cut strips. Twist each strip once during braiding. Tuck ends under to seal, brush egg over dough, sprinkle with almonds and bake for 25 -28 minutes.

Yield : 10 servings

Cook's Notes: We typically use more cheese than 4 oz.; For best results, use baking stone.
